
Investing.com - Autodesk reported on Tuesday third quarter that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
Autodesk announced earnings per share (EPS) of $1.04 on revenue of $952.4 million. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.96 on revenue of $942.5 million.
Autodesk shares are up 41% from the beginning of the year, still down 6.46% from its 52-week high of $276.68 set on Nov 9.
They are outperforming the Nasdaq 100 which is up 38.32% from the start of the year.
Autodesk shares gained 0.07% in after-hours trade following the report.
Autodesk follows other major technology sector earnings this month.
Autodesk's report follows an earnings beat by Apple on Oct 29, who reported EPS of $0.73 on revenue of $64.7 billion, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.7099 on revenue of $63.8 billion.
Microsoft had beat expectations on Oct 27 with first quarter EPS of $1.82 on revenue of $37.15 billion, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.54 on revenue of $35.76 billion.
