Japan: Industrial production is expected to gain by 3.5% MoM after falling 1.0% in December. Since exports for the month expanded, we think the result will be in-line with the METI's forecast survey (+4.4%). Recoveries in general machinery across Asia have supported Japanese manufacturing activity.
