USD/JPY made new highs after a flurry of Bloomberg news that indicated that the Bank of Japan will stick to its current policy next week:
- now does not consider it necessary to act in the issue of control of the yield curve
- the bank considers maintaining soft monetary policy important for achieving inflation targets
- BOJ still unsure about hitting price targets consistently
