📊 NordFX Education: Bid, Ask and the Chart - One Price Doesn't Tell the Whole Story Ever wondered why your stop was triggered when the chart seemed not to touch it? 👀 The answer may be hiding in the quote. Imagine EUR/USD shows: 🔵 Bid: 1.1580 🔴 Ask: 1.1582 The key rule: 🟢 BUY at Ask - 1.1582 🔴 SELL at Bid - 1.1580 On MetaTrader, OTC forex charts are normally built from Bid prices. The Ask exists at the same time, but you may not see it unless the Ask price line is enabled. That means: 📈 A long opens at Ask and closes at Bid 📉 A short opens at Bid and closes at Ask So a short position's stop can be reached by the Ask, even when the visible Bid candle appears not to have touched that level. 🎯 ⚡ This distinction becomes particularly important in fast markets. With Middle East tensions pushing Brent above $114 and global risk sentiment under pressure, prices can move sharply and quotes can change quickly. 💡 Trader's rule: Don't confuse the visible candle with the complete quote. Know which price you are looking at and which price actually triggers your trade. 👉 Trade the markets with NordFX: https://my.nordfx.com/en/regis... #NordFX #TradingEducation #Forex #BidAsk #MetaTrader #TradingTips

📏 NordFX | 0.10 Lot Is Not Always 0.10 Lot You type 0.10 into the order window. Familiar number. Familiar risk? Not necessarily. 👀 The same lot size can represent completely different exposure depending on what you trade: 💶 EURUSD – 1 lot = 100,000 EUR 🥇 XAUUSD – 1 lot = 100 oz ₿ BTCUSD – 1 lot = 1 BTC 📊 DE40 – 1 lot = 1 index unit So copying the same lot size from forex to gold, crypto or an index does not mean copying the same risk. 🔍 The difference is hidden in three numbers traders often overlook: contract size, tick size and tick value. And there are more traps. A tick is not always a pip. A tiny tick size does not necessarily mean tiny risk. And even a 0.00 tick size shown in MT5 does not mean a price move is worth nothing. Our new guide breaks it all down with practical examples and shows how to read instrument specifications, calculate the value of a price move and size positions more intelligently. 📊 👉 Before you compare lot sizes, compare what those lots actually represent. 📖 Read the full guide: https://nordfx.com/useful-arti...
